We are seeking a highly analytical and technically savvy Senior Business Analyst [Consultant] to join our Credit Research Technology team. You will be part of a dynamic group dedicated to building innovative research and investment tools that empower credit analysts and portfolio managers.
Working closely with product owners, developers, and investment professionals, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering solutions that enhance decision-making and drive smarter investment strategies across our fixed income portfolios.
Your Impact
As a Senior Business Analyst [Consultant], you will:
- Lead the definition and delivery of business and system requirements supporting credit research, model-driven analysis, and portfolio management tools.
- Act as a liaison between credit analysts, portfolio managers, and technology teams to ensure business needs are translated into scalable, high-performance solutions.
- Drive end-to-end documentation, requirements traceability, and stakeholder alignment across Agile delivery cycles.
- Contribute to the data strategy for credit research, integrating credit model data, issuer fundamentals, ESG inputs, and alternative datasets into the broader research ecosystem.
- Support the firm’s digital transformation initiatives through delivery excellence, innovation, and thought leadership.
Your Required Skills
- 10 years of Business Analysis experience within a buy-side Fixed Income asset management firm.
- Strong understanding of credit research workflows, with hands-on experience collaborating with credit analysts and portfolio managers.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and investment processes.
Proficiency in:
- SQL – for data validation and exploration
- AWS – particularly data services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Lambda)
- Python – for prototyping analytical tools and performing data analysis
Strong command of business analysis practices, including:
- Agile methodologies
- Use case and workflow documentation
- Data mapping and transformation
- Acceptance criteria and test planning
- Excellent communication skills – able to clearly translate technical issues into business terms and vice versa.
Your Desired Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- CFA Certification or progress toward completion.
- Familiarity with third-party credit platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, MSCI).
- Experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Exposure to machine learning or AI frameworks for financial modeling is a plus.
