Position Responsibilities
- Perform routine custodial duties, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, and restocking materials.
- Report maintenance needs and safety concerns to appropriate staff and the manager.
- Submit and complete work orders related to custodial duties, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Safeguard the operation and maintenance of equipment and supplies, fostering workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Coordinate with vendors, providing access for cleaning services and addressing basic inquiries.
- Assist with minor maintenance repairs such as replacing light bulbs, soap dispensers, and painting.
- Identify and report safety hazards to the manager for prompt resolution.
- Effectively communicate and convey information in person, via radio, email, and voicemail.
- Participate in Purchase Ordering for custodial materials and supplies.
- Take responsibility for the site's 6S program and collaborate with various departments to ensure the practice of 6S principles.
- 5 years’ proven experience in custodial and facilities maintenance.
- Basic Computer Skills (typing, printing, emailing)
- Ability to use PC software such as MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools
- Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in basic maintenance tasks.
- Basic English skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking), including ability to read documents and warning labels in English
- Ability to comprehend technical and safety documentation and follow oral and written instructions
- Basic skill to evaluate, troubleshoot inquiries, establish priorities, follow plans, and complete goals/objectives
