What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Summer Marketing Assistant position at JSM Living?
We are seeking a creative and motivated Part Time Summer Marketing Assistant for a short-term summer project, primarily assisting with the staging of our residential units to prepare them for photo, video, and branding updates. The role will also play a key part in planning and curating social media content.
The primary responsibilities for this short-term position are listed below:
- Support the JSM brand by staging home furnishings and décor in residential units
- Assist with photo and video production as it relates to our residential units
- Plan, edit, and publish content for various social media platforms (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, etc.) under the discretion and guidance of the Marketing Department.
- Organize and maintain staging props and inventory
- Coordinate items for outreach events and manage promotional inventory
- Partner with the JSM Marketing and Residential teams for turnover-related projects
- Serve as a brand ambassador for JSM Living
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Familiarity with social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
- Knowledge of Canva
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb several flights of stairs
- Comfortable taking photos and being in front of a camera
- Must be able to take direction and implement accordingly
- Experience or interest in interior design
- Experience in social media management and content creation is preferred but not required
- Advertising, marketing, or communications-related degree seekers preferred but not required
- A valid driver’s license is required
The timeline for this project is approximately from June 1st to August 21st, with the ability to work 6-10 hours a week split between Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1 pm – 3:30 pm at our office in Champaign, IL. The rate of pay is $16/hour.
The pay range for this role is:
16 - 16 USD per hour(616G )
