Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair custom equipment
- Handle a wide range of technical work including electronics, controls, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
- Train customer personnel on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures
- Actively promote service contracts, calibration plans, preventive maintenance agreements, and equipment upgrades
- Build strong customer relationships and serve as the first point of contact for ongoing service needs
- When not traveling, work onsite to develop SOPs, digitize paper-based service records, and create organized workflows
- Update and maintain equipment manuals and technical reference materials
- Provide feedback from the field to internal teams to support product improvement and service planning
- Identify upsell opportunities and communicate them to leadership
- Support in-house operations including light assembly and testing as needed
- BS/ AAS / Maintenance certifications in electronics or engineering preferred or an equivalent of 4 years of service / maintenance experience on equipment
- 3 years of field service or maintenance experience on industrial, capital, or electro-mechanical equipment
- Strong electronics and controls background required; must be comfortable with electrical work
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Demonstrated ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools and multimeters
- Strong customer-facing communication skills, professional presentation, and consultative approach
- Sales awareness and comfort identifying service opportunities in the field
- Self-directed, organized, and able to work independently with minimal oversight
- Willing and able to travel approximately 70% of the time, primarily domestically with occasional international trips
- Valid driver's license and passport, or ability to obtain one
