Position Overview:
As a Voice and Data Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, analyzing, and deploying the Voice infrastructure to ensure the best service for our partners.
Responsibilities
- Provide escalated Tier-2 technical support on voice networks.
- Perform voice network configurations and changes of various voice equipment to enhance performance.
- Process and monitor the ticketing queue ensuring that all customer support requests are handled in a quick, thorough, and efficient manner.
- Provide support for the company’s voice network technologies, including PBX, Call Center/ UCCX, Voice over IP technology, QOS, Unity/voicemail, long distance and local carrier selection and compliance with international standards and procedures.
- Process and follow-up on porting activity for Local DID, International DID and Toll-Free orders.
- Work on other ongoing and short-term projects as outlined by management.
Required Qualifications:
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.
- 1 years of Voice Support experience.
- 2 years of experience in a technical support role.
- Advanced understanding of VoIP and networks, including troubleshooting/fixing voice and network related problems.
- Must possess well-developed client-driven skills while operating in a manner making it easy to do business; committed to helping and supporting company End Users connectivity issues.
- Ability to function well in a team, as well as establish rapport, credibility, and trust with colleagues and clients; proficient in English.
