What are the responsibilities and job description for the Furniture Design & Strategy Manager position at JSI?
JSI is seeking a Furniture Design & Strategy Manager to help shape the future of our product portfolio—designing furniture that connects people to their work, their space, and one another.
This role leads development and execution of product strategy, bringing together a strong design sensibility, an understanding of customer and market needs, and the ability to translate ideas into meaningful furniture solutions. You’ll connect Design, Marketing, and Product Development to ensure every new product feels intentional, useful, and beautifully resolved.
As an integral part of Marketing’s Product & Design Team, you’ll collaborate across the organization to drive a diverse range of product launch initiatives. You’ll seek and leverage design trends, market research, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for new product design, innovation, and improvement. From early concept through implementation, you’ll guide design direction and scope for new initiatives—working closely with the broader development team to ensure that each product reflects JSI’s design ethos and commercial goals.
Communication and collaboration are central to this role. You’ll partner closely with Marketing, Engineering, and Operations—balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Occasional travel will connect you with the dealer and A&D communities, design tradeshows, and showroom events to stay inspired and informed.
Our team culture is casual, creative, and collaborative, with flexibility as needed. We’re a growing organization with broad and rewarding opportunities to develop and thrive.
