Jasper Group is seeking a technically capable and collaborative leader to guide our Application Engineering team and support the future of manufacturing technology. The Director, Application Engineering will lead software development initiatives, partner with business teams to improve systems and processes, and help drive innovation using both traditional and AI-enabled development tools.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead team of developers and business analysts
- Advanced troubleshooting of applications and databases
- Develop applications using traditional and AI enabled development tools
- Partner with the business to define application requirements
- Participate in overall IT Leadership functions
- Assist in Backup/Recovery and Disaster Recovery initiatives
- Assist in Cybersecurity resilience initiatives
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives in the business
Professional License/Specialized Training: No special degree other than Industry related certifications
Experience: 5-10 years
Education: 2-year degree preferred, but not required.
Skills/Competencies: Motivated; Self-starter mentality; Desire to dig in and figure things out; Able to listen and understand the problem first before offering solutions; Good communication skills; Need to be able to build a rapport with others; Patience. Problem solving is a must. Must be proficient in SQL Server and understand ERP and MES systems. Experience within a manufacturing environment is important.
