What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brand Communications Manager position at JSI?
The Brand & Communications Manager is the voice and pulse of our brands. This role owns and evolves how we show up through words, tone, and story—across social, PR, media, events, digital channels, and internal communications. Part storyteller, part strategist, and part community builder, this person translates our brand into a human, design-forward presence that strengthens emotional connection, builds trust, and inspires advocacy.
Hands-on and creative, they can move fluidly from writing a feature story or social caption to shaping a PR strategy or guiding cross-functional campaigns. They bring clarity, consistency, and energy to every touchpoint, ensuring every narrative ladder ups to our brand ethos and business goals.
Brand Voice & Storytelling
- Own and evolve Jasper Group JSI and Klem brand voices across verticals and audience bases through all platforms and formats.
- Develop and refine brand storytelling that builds emotional connection and elevates brand perception.
- Write and edit content across digital, social, print, PR, and internal channels.
Communications Strategy
- Lead cross-platform communications planning and execution (internal external).
- Oversee the messaging strategy for social, podcast, website content, and major brand campaigns.
- Partner closely with Product Design, Digital Strategy, and Creative teams to ensure aligned, unified narratives.
PR & Earned Media
- Shape and execute a thoughtful PR strategy that increases visibility around launches, initiatives, and thought leadership.
- Build and manage media relationships, maintain press lists, oversee press kits, and secure coverage.
- Support crisis or sensitive communications with clarity and confidence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the central coordinator for multi-team campaigns, ensuring stories connect clearly from concept through execution.
- Manage external partners, including copywriters, designers, videographers/producers, and PR support.
- Partner with Sales to ensure messaging aligns with market needs and reinforces brand trust.
Social & Community
- Lead social planning, content creation, community engagement, and analytics.
- Shape the storytelling that drives growth and connection across digital platforms.
- Identify opportunities for influencers, creators, and advocates to help elevate the brand.
