Roll-Off Driver

Duties

• Safely operate roll-off trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers, to load, transport, and unload scrap containers.
• Load and unload containers efficiently using manual lifting techniques and mechanical equipment.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met and maintenance needs are identified.
• Drive in compliance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while maintaining a clean driving record.
• Coordinate with site personnel to ensure timely delivery and pickup of containers, managing schedules effectively.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary, utilizing mechanical aids or manual effort to handle large or awkward loads.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, mileage, and vehicle inspections for operational transparency.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for heavy-duty trucks and manual transmission operation.
• Proven experience operating roll-off trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, or tractor-trailers.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Experience in heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with scrap container handling.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation.
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; previous delivery driver experience is highly valued.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety awareness.

Pay: $23.96 - $28.85 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
