- Program & Setup machine - prepare CNC lathe machines for production by installing tools, loading raw materials, and configuring machines setting based on engineering specifications.
- Operates machines - monitor the operations of CNC lathes to ensure they are functioning correctly and producing parts that meet quality standards.
- Quality Control - Inspect finished products using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify dimension and tolerances, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Maintenance - Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure optimal performance.
- Documentation - Maintain accurate records of production runs, including quantities produced, machine settings, and any issues encountered during operations.
- 5 years’ experience programming and operating CNC lathes.
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree or certification in machining or a related field is preferred
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings, as well as understanding CNC programming and machine operations.
- Strong focus on quality and precision, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues quickly.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Effective communication skills (oral and written).
- Proficient with basic computer applications (email, Excel, production software, ERP systems a plus).
