Position Overview
JS Security Consulting, LLC is seeking professional, dependable, and motivated Security Officers including Licensed Unarmed Guards, Licensed Armed Guards, and Off-Duty Law Enforcement Officers. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, maintain a strong security presence, and understand the importance of representing our company’s culture and values.
Pay Rates
Licensed Unarmed Security Officer: $20.00/hour
Licensed Armed Security Officer: $26.00/hour
Off-Duty Licensed Law Enforcement: $35.00/hour
- Holiday pay at time and a half
- Pay Frequency: Weekly (every Friday)
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is punctual, reliable, and presents themselves professionally at all times. As a security officer, you will often be the first point of contact for clients, making professionalism and respect non-negotiable.
We are looking for team-oriented individuals with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to handle security operations responsibly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and remain on post for the entire scheduled shift.
- Maintain a clean uniform, proper grooming, and a professional appearance.
- Patrol assigned areas on foot and/or by vehicle as required.
- Deter unauthorized entry, trespassing, and after-hours deliveries.
- Monitor activity and proactively address security concerns before escalation.
- Complete accurate electronic activity and incident reports.
- Enforce site-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and post orders.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, clients, and team members.
- Represent JS Security Consulting with integrity and professionalism at all times.
- Strictly comply with company policies, including:
- No sleeping on duty
- No leaving post without authorization
- No unauthorized phone use
Requirements
- Valid Tennessee Unarmed or Armed Security License, or active/off-duty law enforcement credentials
- Reliable transportation (most assignments require working from your own vehicle)
- Reliable cellular service and familiarity with electronic report writing
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual candidates
- Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or corrections
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience with SOPs, post orders, and security reporting systems
