Responsibilities:
Full financial cycle consists of:
- Electronic Claims and Remittance
- Clearinghouse processing and routing
- Pre-remittance proprietary edits
- Clearinghouse edits
Payment Posting:
- EOB Indexing and Imaging
- Reconciliation
Secondary Filing:
- Auto-matching of claims with documentation
- Efficient filing with the payer
Patient Billing:
- Statements
A/R Management:
- Resolution of charge issues
- Correct issues across accounts
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience required
- Competent in a billing cycle.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, familiarity with CPT, ICD-10 codes and modifiers, understanding of insurance verification and authorizations and ability to interpret explanation of benefits.
- Experienced with claim submissions, claim denials, claim follow-up, appeals, collections and knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payers
