Someone with banking experience desired I. Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and certified Enterprise Architecture (EA) Consultant to design, develop, and implement a customized Enterprise Architecture Framework. This framework will be the strategic foundation for the Bank's continued growth, technological innovation, and compliance with national and global banking standards. The selected consultant will drive both the architectural design and the critical internal capability building required for the EA program's long-term sustainability. II. Key ResponsibilitiesThe Consultant will be responsible for a comprehensive set of services across four main pillars:A. Strategic Architecture & AssessmentCurrent State Assessment: Conduct a holistic, in-depth assessment across all four core EA domains: Business, Application, Data, and Technology.Target Architecture Definition: Develop a definitive future-state (target) architecture, providing clear direction that directly supports the Bank’s strategic goals for growth, innovation, and compliance.Methodology: Leverage the TOGAF Architecture Development Method (ADM) as the primary, guiding methodology for all architecture activities and lifecycle management.B. EA Framework DevelopmentFramework Design: Design, document, and formalize a customized Enterprise Architecture Framework for the Bank.Documentation: Define and document all necessary principles, processes, governance structures, templates, and reference models for the framework.C. Internal Capability Building & Knowledge TransferAccredited Training: Deliver mandatory, accredited TOGAF-based training to a minimum of 10 Bank participants, covering both Foundation (Level 1) and Practitioner (Level 2) levels, ensuring successful certification is achieved.Coaching & Support: Facilitate robust knowledge transfer through hands-on workshops, on-the-job coaching, and the creation of detailed process documentation.Tooling Expertise: Recommend, support the implementation, and train users on the selected EA tooling, ensuring it aligns perfectly with the Bank’s existing IT infrastructure and the user maturity level.D. Governance & Stakeholder AlignmentCompliance: Ensure all EA deliverables and the resulting framework are fully compliant with national regulations, specific NBE directives, and established global banking best practices.Engagement: Assist in stakeholder alignment, communication, and engagement across all business and IT departments to guarantee successful adoption and sustained commitment to the EA program.III. Key Deliverables (Success Criteria)The following will serve as the primary success criteria for this engagement:Inception Report: Detailed work plan, finalized team composition, and a comprehensive stakeholder engagement plan.Current State Assessment Report: Full report covering all four layers: Business, Application, Data, and Technology.TOGAF-Based EA Framework Document: Comprehensive document detailing the customized principles, processes, governance, templates, and reference models.Target Architecture Blueprint and Roadmap: Outlining short-, medium-, and long-term initiatives, fully aligned with the Bank’s strategic objectives.Training Delivery & Certification: Successful delivery of TOGAF Foundation and Practitioner training, resulting in the certification of at least 10 Bank staff.EA Tool Recommendation & Support: Analysis of suitable EA tools (e.g., Archi, Bizzdesign, LeanIX, Sparx EA), feature comparison, fit-for-purpose analysis, and implementation support.Stakeholder Engagement and Governance Plan.Knowledge Transfer and Final Report: Including a sustainability plan and recommendations for post-engagement support.IV. Mandatory RequirementsEducation & CertificationEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related quantitative field.Certification: Mandatory: Current certification in TOGAF 9.2 or TOGAF 10 Certified (Level 2).Preferred: Additional certification in a specific EA tool (e.g., Archi, Bizzdesign, LeanIX, Sparx EA).Professional ExperienceEA Experience: Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Enterprise Architecture roles.Implementation Experience: Proven track record of executing a minimum of 3 full-cycle TOGAF implementations.Domain Focus: Extensive experience working in or consulting for banking or financial services institutions is mandatory.Skills and ExpertiseTool Expertise: Hands-on, demonstrable experience with leading EA tools such as Archi, Bizzdesign, LeanIX, or Sparx EA.Training Capability: Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, accredited TOGAF training with successful certification issuance.Soft Skills: Exceptional facilitation, coaching, knowledge transfer, and professional written communication/documentation skills.
