Job Title : Network Engineer
Location: DE SOTO, KS- Onsite- Local or who can relocate
Duration: 6 Months Contract with extension- Long Term
Interview: Video onsite(if asked -expenses will be paid by client)
We are seeking a bilingual (Japanese/English) Network Engineer who can act as a communication bridge between business departments and technical teams within a large-scale factory environment. The engineer will gather requirements from non-technical departments, translate them into network design specifications, coordinate with construction vendors, and support network maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct requirement hearings with factory equipment or production departments and translate their operational needs into detailed network design specifications.
- Coordinate with construction and installation vendors to ensure network implementation is executed according to plan.
- Collaborate closely with the internal network team responsible for build-out and configuration.
- Perform maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the factory network environment.
- Provide bilingual documentation, reporting, and communication with stakeholders in Japan and the U.S.
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience in network design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of VLAN, routing, switching, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
- Experience coordinating with business departments, vendors, and internal IT teams.
- Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English (verbal and written).
- Ability to proactively identify issues and work collaboratively toward resolution.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in factory or industrial network environments.
- Cisco certification (CCNA/CCNP or equivalent).
- Familiarity with SCADA, MES, or OT/IT integration.
- Experience working in multinational or global project environments.
