About the Role:

This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs that minimize risks and enhance compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The EHS Specialist will conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks. Additionally, this role involves training employees on EHS policies and procedures to foster a safe working environment. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in an EHS role within a corporate or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations and standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in EHS management (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, or similar).
- Experience with environmental impact assessments and sustainability initiatives.
- Experience with Ammonia Refrigeration and OSHA standards 29 CFR 1910.119
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Develop and implement EHS training programs for employees at all levels.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate EHS considerations into operational processes.
