Summary
The Tailor/Seamstress is responsible for performing garment alterations and repairs to high quality standards, ensuring proper fit and customer satisfaction in a dry cleaning and customer service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform alterations and repairs on various types of garments (hemming, adjustments, tailoring, and modifications).
- Inspect garments to identify alteration needs and fabric limitations.
- Ensure quality, finishing, and on-time delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow garment handling and control procedures.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience as a Tailor/Seamstress, preferably in dry cleaning or garment care.
- Knowledge of sewing techniques, fabrics, and garment construction.
- Ability to operate sewing machines.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- English proficiency sufficient to communicate with customers and clearly understand their needs.
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
Location & Work Modality
- On-site role at a physical store.
Schedule & Contract Type
- Part-time, 24 hours per week, with the possibility of increasing to full-time based on performance and Company needs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
