Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role with current projects in Illinois and Wisconsin for a Directional Drill Operator. The Directional Drill Operator will be responsible for operating both Ditch Witch and Vermeer directional drills, performing regular maintenance, and adhering to safety protocols. The operator will read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications, and ensure accurate and timely installations of underground utilities. Collaboration with other team members and clear communication with supervisors is essential.
Qualifications
- Experience in operating directional drill machinery and equipment
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, plans, and specifications
- Familiarity with underground utility installation and maintenance
- Able to confirm bore path with locator
- Experience performing pre-drill site walk-throughs
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
