Job description
JOB SUMMARY:
Looking for a team player who can work CNC program assignments; also, should possess some mechanical aptitude in regard to machine tool maintenance
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Able to setup vertical and horizontal, CNC Mills and lathes
Knowledge of cutting tools and basic G and M codes
Able to prove out programs Interpret prints, drawings verbal instructions and process sheets
Must be able to use basic machining measuring instruments i.e. calipers, micrometers
Indicators, bore gages and be able to observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions such as warn or damaged cutting tools
Confer with engineering department group to implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
Confer with workers in other departments to provide technical information
Swiss lathe knowledge is a plus
Follow company policies procedures and protocols
Identify and promptly report any safety hazards or issues
