Job title: Convenience Store General Manager

Pay: $75,000–$85,000 per year, plus performance bonus

An established South Metro convenience and fuel retailer is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to take full ownership of a high-volume Lakeville location.

This is not an entry-level or manager-in-training position. Applicants must demonstrate at least three years of relevant management experience and direct accountability for people, financial results and daily operations.

Required qualifications

• 3 years of management experience in convenience retail, fuel, grocery, QSR, foodservice, hospitality or high-volume retail
• At least 2 years directly responsible for a complete store, department or business unit
• Demonstrated P&L, labor-budget, inventory, shrink and cash-control experience
• Proven experience recruiting, scheduling, coaching and performance-managing employees
• Ability to explain measurable improvements you produced in sales, profitability, labor, shrink, foodservice or employee retention
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and current automobile insurance
• Availability to support a 24/7 operation, including occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Strong written, verbal and computer skills

Five or more years of management experience and previous convenience-store or fuel experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the location’s daily operations and financial performance
• Recruit, train, schedule and develop a dependable team
• Establish clear standards and hold employees accountable
• Manage sales, margins, labor, inventory, cash controls and shrink
• Oversee fuel pricing, vendor deliveries, ordering and merchandising
• Maintain strong foodservice availability, quality and sanitation
• Execute promotions and improve customer traffic and basket size
• Ensure compliance with safety, loss-prevention and regulatory requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized and consistently customer-ready property
• Work hands-on alongside the team when business needs require it
• Review operating results and implement measurable improvement plans
