Early childhood professionals at JRC Learning Center bring encouragement, warmth, patience and understanding to their classrooms. They inspire learning that promotes a child’s social, physical, verbal and cognitive development which prepares children for success in kindergarten and beyond.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Teacher:
- A Lead teacher oversees the teaching, direction and overall supervision of a group of children.
- Implement activities that ensure the safety, involvement, and creativity of each individual in the group.
- Work with the Assistant to plan, discuss and implement daily plans in accordance with the current curriculum, incorporating the Ohio Department of Education Standards.
- Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
Assistant Teacher:
- Works cooperatively with the lead teacher in teaching and implementing activities and plans.
- Implement activities that ensure the safety, involvement, and creativity of each individual in the group.
- Work with the Lead Teacher to plan, discuss and implement daily plans in accordance with the current curriculum, incorporating the Ohio Department of Education Standards.

REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as an Early Education Teacher
- Leadership skills
- Excellent understanding of the principals of child development A love for children and strong desire to teach and make a difference
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Reliable
- Ability to build relationships with families and coworkers
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple situations effectively
- Organized with attention to detail
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of an Infant/Toddler CDA (Child Development Associate credential) or an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education is required for Lead position.
The following certifications are required: First-Aid, Communicable Disease, CPR (infant/child/adult) and Child Abuse Certifications within 90 days of hire.
