Location Type: This is an onsite role located in Holland, MI.

Role Overview:

TheFluid Power Technicianis responsible forthe assembly, installation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in custom automation equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring fluid power systems are built to specification,operatesafely, and perform reliably throughout the equipment lifecycle. The ideal candidatepossessesstrong mechanical aptitude, technical troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to quality and safety

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Assemble, install, and plumb hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, actuators, manifolds, tubing, piping, and related components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, blueprints, symbols, and technical documentation.
  • Perform system testing, commissioning, and functional verification to ensure equipment meets performance and design requirements.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic system issues using technical documentation and diagnostic equipment.
  • Repair or replace components such as valves, cylinders, seals, fittings, hoses, and control devices asrequired.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and system evaluations to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
  • Identifyroot causes of system malfunctions and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, electricians, machine builders, and other team members to resolve technical challenges and improve system performance.
  • Maintainaccuraterecords of maintenance activities, repairs, modifications, and test results.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements and safe work practices around high-pressure systems.
  • Support installation, startup, and service activities at customer sites as needed.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to less experienced technicians and production personnel whenrequired.

What You'll Bring:

  • Associate degree in Fluid Power Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Mechanical Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with industrial hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong understanding of fluid power principles, including pressure, flow, force, and control.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and technical drawings.
  • Experience with pumps, valves, cylinders, manifolds, regulators, filters, proportional controls, and related fluid power components.
  • Proficiencyin using diagnostic equipment such as pressure gauges, flow meters, multimeters, and other testing instruments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mechanical diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using software for documentation and diagnostics.
