What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Arborist position at JR Tree Service and Landscaping?

The right person will have at least six years experience in the tree care industry and be good at explaining plans to customers. Compensation will depend on experience and will include a performance bonus.

- Examining tree health and explaining results to customers.
- Developing a tree care plan with options and presenting it to customers.
- Following up with customers and doing what it takes to win the job.
- Showing crews what work needs to be done.
- Ensuring that crews deliver quality service to clients.
- Keeping management informed about the status of each job in the pipeline.
Required skills/experience:
- Certified arborist (or ability to get certified within six months).
- Excellent customer communication skills.
- At least six (6) years tree experience with three (3) as lead climber.
- Creating proposals/estimates/quotes.
- Climbing skills, including crane work.
- Tree work with a bucket truck.
- Ability to show crews how to complete the tree work plan.
Highly desirable skills/experience:
- College degree.
- OSHA training certification.
- SingleOps (or other tree care software).
- Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
