Position Summary

A Driver at JR Metal Works is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transportation of materials, parts, and finished goods between company facilities, vendors, and customers. This role plays a critical part in maintaining production flow and customer satisfaction by ensuring deliveries and pickups are completed efficiently and professionally. This person will also be helping with basic material handling, loading/ unloading, and communication with internal teams to ensure scheduling alignment. Hours for this position are flexible based on business needs and can be part-time or full-time.

Key Responsibilities

· Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, parts, and finished goods to and from designated locations.

· Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.

· Verify shipment contents against packing slips, purchase orders, or delivery documentation, if applicable.

· Plan and follow efficient routes while maintaining delivery schedules.

· Communicate with internal teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.

· Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle logs.

· Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

· Previous driving or delivery experience preferred.

· Ability to safely operate trucks, vans, or other company vehicles as needed (non-CDL).

· Good communication skills and a professional demeanor.

· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

· Flexibility to adjust schedule based on business needs.
