What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Office Assistant/ Bookkeeping position at JR Furniture?
A large furniture retailer with several locations in the WA US and Oregon is looking for a part time assistant bookkeeper/ office assistant to assist accounts payable department in handling the US locations. Based out of our Tukwila, WA location. it is a good opportunity for fresh graduates and college students to expand their knowledge.
Job Duties
Bookkeeping
- Posting invoices and some organization and filling tasks as needed from manager.
- Posting bank and credit card transactions
- Prepare accounting reports and journal entries as needed
Cash management Pay invoices
- Open all mails and pay utilities and send mails out
- posting vender and supplier invoices.
- Ensure all receipts are deposited, posted, and reconciled
- Issue payment checks for venders and suppliers and mail them.
- Assist in payroll check, posting all checks and copy them.
- Additional task my as needed.
0-2 years of bookkeeping experience. Diploma preferred but not mandatory Experience with MS Office Suite- Excel, Word, Outlook Detail oriented Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Team player who can work with minimum supervision Honest, trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.50 - $22.00 per hour
