What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Roof Crew Members (Journeymen level) position at JR & Co?

What would I be doing?
- Help set-up, maintain, and clean-up project sites
- Ensure safe work practices and compliance with OSHA at all times, reporting safety concerns
- Efficiently measure & cut project materials, install various roofing materials constructing a weatherproof roof for our customers
- Demonstrate great time-management skills, reliability, and punctuality, meet project deadlines
- Properly manage all assigned tools, equipment, and material
What do I need?
- HS Diploma or GED minimum
- 1-2 years of experience in construction industry (entry-level) AND/OR
- 2 years experience in roofing (experienced level) (Basic skills testing may be required for experienced applicants)
- OSHA 10-hour construction training (minimum or be willing to obtain if offered a position)
- Must be able to obtain security clearance on federal job sites
- Ability to follow directions and pay attention to details
What is it like?
- Elevated work (work on rooftops, heights)
- Outdoors (in all types of weather)
- Overtime, weekends may be required
- Frequent bending, kneeling, walking, climbing, carrying and lifting (50lbs or greater)
