Automotive Technician - A

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing vehicles, automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicles. As an Automotive Technician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing customer concerns, performing repairs, verifying repairs and ensuring that vehicles are safe and reliable for our customers.

Duties

• Conduct thorough diagnostics on vehicles using automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Repair and replace faulty components in such systems as engines, transmissions(no rebuilds), air conditioning, cooling, anti-lock brakes, steering, suspension and more.
• Utilize power tools and equipment to complete repairs efficiently and effectively.
• Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex automotive issues.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
• Collaborate with service technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Go over vehicles with service writer and explain your recommendations.
• Document findings on work order to include diagnostic trouble codes, pictures of recommendations and document any problems the vehicle has prior to working on vehicle
• Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
• Tool are supplied by the technician, unless there are specialty tools required to complete a repair(these tools will be supplied)

Skills

• Proficient in automotive diagnostics with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle systems.
• Experience with diesel engine repair is a plus but not required.
• Organized and professional. Take pride in their work and treat the customers vehicle with care and respect.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in automotive repair. 5 years of experience, minimum.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail is preferred. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and safety protocols.
