- Build and assemble custom automation equipment according to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Perform precision mechanical assembly, ensuring exceptional fit and finish
- Assist with machine debugging, testing, and validation
- Work closely with engineering to resolve build challenges and improve designs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe workplace
- Support machine installation and commissioning at customer sites as needed
- Travel at least 20% of the time may be required. This may include domestic and international travel, depending on the project
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as a Machine Builder, Mechanical Assembler, or related role in automation or machinery manufacturing is highly preferred
- The ability to demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on assembly skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on quality, alignment, and overall craftsmanship
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, CAD prints, and assembly documentation
- Experience with hand tools, precision measurement tools, and mechanical assemblies
- Familiarity with pneumatics, linear motion components, and industrial hardware
- Basic understanding of electrical/panel wiring or willingness to learn (a plus)
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt in a custom build environment
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or apprenticeship preferred
- Former JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry is strongly preferred
