Job Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing the annual budgets, monthly financial reports, developing forecasting procedures and creating and managing cyclical and special reports timely with accuracy. The Senior Financial Analyst functions at a more complex level while also supporting the Director with scheduled and non-routine reporting functions.
Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:
- Acts in a consultative manner to insure effective provision and analysis of departmental issues.
- Collaborates with management and department leaders to prepare and assemble the Network’s operating budgets.
- Prepares “divisional” budgets which include but are not limited to Depreciation, Fringe Benefits, Insurance, Third Party Allowances, Bad Debt, Charity Care, Interest Expense, and Investment Income.
- Reviews and analyzes monthly comparative departmental budget reports by comparing actuals to budget, using standards of measurement developed to evaluate performance. Coordinates with managers to explain variances.
- Prepares written and oral presentations of financial results in both written and graphical formats.
- Develops and reviews monthly flex budget results.
- Maintains and analyzes rolling forecast for system.
- Assists departmental leadership to identify opportunities for improvement in order to reach financial goals of the organization.
- Produces monthly statistical report and KPIs.
- Creates, develops, prepares, and analyzes financial, operational, and quality reports.
