What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Daycare Monitor position at JPS?
We are looking to add a part time canine loving humans to our team!

We are looking for the right individual to add to our pack
We are looking to fill a permanent position, NO temporary hires.
Must be at least 18 years of age and out of high school.
This is an "on your feet" position, and you will be walking around during the entire 4-8 hour shift, there is no sitting down for long periods of time. Must able to lift 50 pounds easily. Must be a diligent cleaner for closing shifts. The weather will ALWAYS be a part of the job, employees are to be prepared to be outside at times during shifts even on snowy days, rainy days, windy times etc.
This is not a cuddle with dogs all day job, this is a safety first, monitoring and controlling the group position.
Candidates will have IMPECCABLE attendance. Motivated, punctual, dependable, hard working individuals. Must have the ability to work well alone and with others, understand and follow directions, and take initiative. One that has experience working with dogs and understands canine behaviors.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); closely watching group of dogs, focusing on the dogs is crucial.... keeping their energy balanced, rotating dogs when necessary, working on basic commands and manners, playing games with the group and one on one, walking the indoor and outdoor areas and keeping them safe, clean, and tidy, scooping waste, cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, intake of dogs while clients drop off, documenting, retrieving dogs when clients pick up, small cashier duties.
Looking for openers and closers, opening shifts start at 615 sharp, closing shifts end at 6pm sometimes a little later. Some Saturdays may be required, but not typically.

Experience working with dogs is strongly preferred. Must be personable and have good customer service skills. Must posses the ability to perform in a high energy/high stress environment and remain calm under pressure. (this is not all the time but sometimes is the case) Must be able to retain information and follow directions given.
