Job Description:
Job Summary: The Director, Donor Relations leads the JPS Foundation team responsible for all annual giving programs and special campaigns. This position provides leadership, management, and accountability to Foundation team members to help the team reach individual and collective fundraising goals. The Director, Donor Relations works closely with the SVP Foundation, and Director Foundation Operations to align strategies with the JPS Health Network and to ensure that fundraising efforts support Network priorities and its executive leadership team.
Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:
Cultivates and maintains relationships with individual donors (both internal and external), family, corporate foundations, corporate leaders, physicians and others for the benefit of the JPS Foundation.
Manages an annual fundraising goal as specified in performance standards, including both renewable gifts and new incremental revenue.
Implements programs and activities to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors with an emphasis on maximizing revenue for the JPS Foundation.
Identifies potential planned giving prospects among assigned donors and partners to solicit those individuals.
Regularly updates Raiser’s Edge donor records with notes and actions. Holds team members accountable for keeping contacts current and entering updates in the donor database to ensure the integrity of records.
Cultivates, solicits and stewards support from corporations and foundations to meet annual fundraising goals. Clearly articulates JPS Health Network programs, listens to corporate needs and aligns funding opportunities to their interests. Researches foundations, helps prepare grant proposals and engages Foundation staff and board members to cultivate and solicit support for the JPS Health Network.
Develops and executes ongoing strategy to identify qualified prospects and move them to supporter status using tools such as small cultivation events, community networking, and Network tours. Solicits assigned donor portfolio, including preparation of individualized materials as needed.
Works closely with the President, Board members, and other leaders to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward appropriate donors.
Leads and evaluates work activities for Donor Relations team members. Develops annual goals and objectives with team members. Conducts annual performance reviews. Provides coaching and identifies training opportunities for team members.
Provides input into hiring decisions and recommendations for team members.
Assists in the development of the annual Foundation budget and other financial development projects as needed.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field of study from an accredited college or university.
- 7 years of experience working with donors and fundraising.
- Master’s Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
- Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) or Advanced Certified Fund Raising Executive (ACFRE) certifications.
- Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge.
