Typical Duties
- Conducts requirements gathering meetings to understand the compensation needs of management teams while working with HR Business Partners to collaborate for best solutions.
- Assists departments in all compensation decisions and ensures optimal utilization of all salary information; makes recommendations that incorporate analyzing labor market data, internal equity considerations and anecdotal information that support business objectives for pay rate decisions.
- Analyzes the market competitiveness of the JPS compensation program and perform research, statistical analysis, and reporting.
- Ability to work with external vendors to ensure compensation best practices are current and implemented
- Develops, implements, and supports appropriate solutions (programs, processes, and tools) in support of providing an effective client experience in relation to compensation; provides continual assessment of both existing and potential practices to ensure quality service delivery and alignment with business needs.
- Manages and leads assigned compensation-related projects.
- Develops and maintains relationships with Management to ensure appropriate solutions in support of organizational requirements by providing professional, analytical support for compensation programs.
- Prepares job descriptions while providing process guidance and utilizing benchmark job data consistent with market documentation.
- Responds to inquiries from Management, providing assistance or information for defining and market pricing new positions and/or reevaluation of existing positions; participates in manager discussions regarding.
- Participates in all third-party surveys by preparing data input for participation in local, regional, and national salary surveys.
- Performs all other job related duties as required.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related field of study from an accredited college or university.
- 3 plus years of experience in Compensation.
- 2 plus years of proficient experience with Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
