Sanitation Manager
We are looking for a skilled candidate to supervise a team of porters in busy food service environment. The position requires that the candidate have flexible availability to to work a shift from Mon-Friday approximately 1pm-10PM when required by business demands.
Job Details
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Co-ordinate with the Front and Back of House managers on their requirements for the day and the next days events
- Work with all departments to ensure items that are required for service are available.
- Direct and Assist Utility team in maintaining an efficient and safe work area.
- Assist with transport of prepared foods to necessary outlets.
- Assist with transport of clean and soiled items to their proper locations.
- Assist with proper training of Utility Team in all aspects.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dish washing machine, hand wash stations pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance of the team are clean and professional.
- Manage & oversee that daily tasks are completed by the Utility Team
- Take all necessary actions to reduce the loss of silverware / flatware.
- Take all necessary actions to reduce breakage of China and Glassware.
- Implement SOP’s so that a safe work environment is continuously maintained throughout.
- Enforces proper DOH compliant cleaning routines for service ware, equipment, floors, etc.
- Enforces proper use and cleaning of all dish room machinery.
- Ensures all food holding and transport equipment is in working order.
- Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
- Ensuring Stewarding staffs have supplies, equipment, tools, and uniforms necessary.
- Ability to schedule the team and make adjustments to schedule as needed.
- Ability to provide basic machine maintenance. EX: Ice machine and dish machine
- Celebrates successes by publicly recognizing the contributions of team members.
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Serves as a role model for the stewarding teams to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.
- Carry out any other reasonable task set by the Chef and General manager.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
- Climbing steps regularly
Salary : $24 - $26
