As a Senior Principal Architect at JPMorganChase within the CorporateTechnology's Enterprise Architecture team, you will work across teams to implement and advance the adoption of complex strategic global solutions that give JPMC a competitive advantage. Your leadership will drive innovation, foster collaboration and ensure the delivery of durable, high-quality technology frameworks that scale firmwide.
Job responsibilities
- Advises and influences executives, stakeholders, and portfolio owners, leading architecture review boards to develop and maintain IT Infrastructure tools across the enterprise, including selection, integration, and retirement.
- Serves as a subject matter expert on IT Cloud & Infrastructure, delivering technology capabilities and managing sprawl in areas such as Application Infrastructure, Hosting, Networking, Application Integration, and Hyperconverged Infrastructure.
- Translates highly complex technical issues, trends, and approaches to leadership to drive the firm’s innovation and enable leaders to make strategic, well-informed decisions about target state architecture.
- Drives adoption and implementation of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies.
- Establishes and leads an architecture governance body, ensuring compliance and governance with architecture decision records and policies.
- Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improve velocity and quality of output across teams and functions.
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best technology solutions and approaches to achieve the future state architecture
- Evaluates emerging technologies and vendors, lead proof-of-concept initiatives, and advise on budgeting and financial impact, identifying cost savings opportunities.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10 years applied experience
- Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Expertise in one or more programming language(s), applications, and architecture disciplines
- Demonstrated prior experience influencing across functions and teams to deliver modern architecture
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems across various technical disciplines
- Extensive practical cloud-native, on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud experience
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best technology solutions and approaches to achieve the future state architecture
- Demonstrated prior experience influencing across functions and teams to deliver modern architecture
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems across various technical disciplines
- Extensive practical cloud native experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5 years applied experience in software-defined infrastructure
- 2 years applied experience in software engineering
- Relevant Architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, ITIL, CISSP, PMP)
- Expertise in “Infrastructure as Code” provisioning, automation, and policy enforcement frameworks (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, Open Policy Agent/OPA/Rego)
