The Head of Portfolio Management & Governance for Corporate Technology will play a crucial role providing proactive, data-driven oversight of a large global portfolio of work. The successful candidate will lead a high performing team driving investment governance, executive reporting, and ensuring timely decisions can be made on strategic technology spend. They will drive a transformation agenda to optimize processes and tooling, promote consistency, ensure adherence to standards and procedures, and leverage AI to increase efficiency and quality.
Job responsibilities
- Portfolio Planning : Co-lead the annual planning cycle for Corporate Technology, in partnership with Finance & Business Management functions; set standards, calendars, and guardrails. Drive consistency in intra-year planning approaches across CT.
- Portfolio governance and oversight: Enhance the governance operating model for Corporate Technology's portfolio; ensure investment decisions align with strategy and financial targets. Maintain intra-year controls for reprioritization, funding moves, and exception management. Provide transparency, actionability, and clear recommendations to senior stakeholders; escalate risks, issues, and roadblocks early.
- Portfolio insights and reporting: Deliver authoritative, executive-ready insights across budget vs actuals vs forecast, value realization, delivery health, and risk posture. Establish consistent metrics and dashboards; ensure parity across self-serve APIs and curated views.
- Process excellence and tooling: Streamline portfolio processes end-to-end (intake, prioritization, approval, tracking). Drive adoption of improved tooling and data quality standards.
- Stakeholder engagement: Partner with Engineering, Product, Finance, and Business Management to align on priorities, dependencies, and outcomes. Coordinate with enterprise investment governance and line-of-business stakeholders to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Risk, controls, and audit readiness: Embed strong controls in portfolio processes; maintain audit-ready evidence, lineage, and documentation. Develop and implement strategic technical program plans, aligning with organizational goals and cross-functional collaboration
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 7 years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in large organizations
- Demonstrated proficiency in technical solutions, vendor product knowledge, managing vendor relations, and implementing solutions
- Advanced analytical reasoning skills, applying critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, and operational objectives
- Proven ability in leading through change, managing dependencies, and controlling change in high-pressure, shifting environments
- Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, establishing productive relationships, and driving beneficial outcomes aligned with firm objectives
- Ability to lead complex technology project and program execution, managing resources, budgets, and timelines while mitigating risks and addressing roadblocks
- Partner with key stakeholders to guide selection and implementation of appropriate technologies, platforms and software tools leveraging advanced technical fluency
