As an Analyst in the Market Risk Middle Office team, you perform control checks to identify and resolve data quality issues in the firm’s risk data, supporting investment decisions and regulatory submissions. You work with us to cover risk measures such as Value at Risk, Default Exposure, Stress-Testing, and Volcker, while collaborating with stakeholders across the business. Together, we ensure the accuracy and integrity of market risk data and drive process improvements. You have the opportunity to develop your skills and make a meaningful impact in a global team.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform daily data quality checks on VaR, Stress, and other market risk measures.
- Identify and investigate drivers of changes in risk measures with stakeholders.
- Remediate data quality issues with Product Controllers and Market Risk Coverage.
- Research, resolve, and escalate inquiries from business, risk management, and audit.
- Maintain procedure manuals and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Build partnerships with Market Risk, Product Control, Technology, Basel, Quantitative Research, and Reporting teams.
- Ensure processes meet SLAs efficiently and effectively.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Strong understanding of business processes and risk, with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Professional, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Able to prioritize workload and work independently with large data sets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to create and deliver training.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Team player, comfortable working with colleagues at all levels and across regions.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Basic understanding of VaR, Stress, and other Market Risk measures.
- Familiarity with PnL concepts and their relation to VaR.
- Experience with VBA or other coding languages.
