As a Lead Technical Product Manager in Payments Technology at JPMorgan Chase, you will drive the development and delivery of technology solutions that support the bank’s payments infrastructure. In this role, you will define product strategy, manage the product lifecycle, and collaborate with engineering and business partners to build secure, scalable, and reliable payment platforms. This role offers the opportunity to tackle complex technical challenges, drive improvements in scalability and reliability, and play a key part in modernizing the bank’s technology foundation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a product strategy and vision that delivers customer value, maintaining a product roadmap, delivery timeline, and a prioritized product backlog aligned with strategic goals.
  • Partner with internal consumers and cross-functional teams to intake needs, prioritize use cases, and translate them into actionable product requirements, ensuring alignment and successful product delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineering to design, develop, and maintain a scalable API infrastructure that meets business and technical objectives, including automation and tooling to improve reliability, reduce costs, and accelerate development.
  • Establish, monitor, and continuously refine API SLAs and key metrics for performance, uptime, error rates, and observability, ensuring visibility into API health and usage over time.
  • Track execution, proactively resolve blockers, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders, incorporating customer feedback to enhance features and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure comprehensive product documentation, including user guides, release notes, and technical specifications.
 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 5 years of experience (or equivalent expertise) in product management or a relevant domain, with a focus on cloud products.
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development lifecycle, design, data analytics, and launching/scaling technical products in cloud environments (especially AWS).
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and discuss architecture, APIs, microservices, and integrations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including experience presenting to  both business and technical audiences and working across cross-functional, global teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to deep dive into technical topics, thrive in technical environments, and effectively prioritize and solve problems with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about delivering end-to-end solutions that drive customer value.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.
  • Adept at working in globally diverse teams across different time zones and forging relationships with key business stakeholders and development teams.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing high-performing cross functional teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization.
  • Hands-on experience in cloud, infrastructure, and related technology.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and governance.
  • AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
  • Significant experience in financial services technology or a similar industry where technology is at the core.
