As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Acquiring Platforms & Rails Tandem team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way on HPE NonStop. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
- Developing on Tandem in a hands-on technical leadership capacity
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on TANDEM/NonStop engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
- Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
- Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
- Passionate about building an innovative culture
- Assist in planning, architecture, analysis and design of enterprise technology solutions that satisfy business requirements for large complex systems.
- Hands-on TANDEM/NonStop Systems development using Tools and Languages including TAL, TACL, Tandem COBOL, TANDEM C , ENSCRIBE, ENFORM, TANDEM pathway, Tandem internal messaging system, FUP, BATCHCOM, SQLCI, Host security module, tokenization and encryption
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Understanding of payment processing industry (ISO8583 message Format and Industry Specifications)
- Experience on C , Java, DevOps, BigData, Kafka Stream, Control-M, Golden Gate, Agile based development
