As a Financial Associate in the AWM Operations Finance business unit, you will be challenged to develop innovative new solutions to streamline and automate existing processes, effectively deliver on key team goals and deliverables; and manage demands under tight deadlines.
Description
As an Associate within the AWM Operations Finance and Business Management organization, you will be reporting to the lead for AWM Operations Planning and Analysis and will be substantially involved in creating and interpreting financial results through transparent and actionable reporting and analytics. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, and Reporting. Strong attention to details and interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are a must. Also important are the ability to: integrate large amounts of information into concise and actionable reporting; present financial data to non-financial managers in a clear and understandable way; manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate monthly close and forecast process ensuring time deadlines are met
- Consolidate financial results for the Operations group and create transparent, actionable reporting explaining key results and variances
- Participate in the annual budget process by creating metric driven financial reporting and helping to tell the operations story
- Collaborate with finance partners across operations and AWM businesses to ensure key deliverables are met
- Participate in operations finance process and reporting transformation initiatives
Qualifications:
- 3 years financial analysis experience, preferably in the financial services industry
- Strong financial and analytical skills, as well as creative problem solving skills
- Strong technical skills (MS Office, Hyperion, with Tableau/Alteryx a plus) and aptitude toward using technology to solve problems
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Self-motivated, effective under pressure and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Bachelors Degree in Finance / Accounting
