We are currently hiring for two roles at our State Police, Troop K site:
---1. Site Foreman – Public Safety Radio Technician (Full-Time)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee job site accuracy and timely completion of work.
- Train and mentor an entry-level technician.
- Manage on-site timekeeping and payroll entry.
- Coordinate scheduling and workload management.
- Communicate professionally with NYSP civilian staff and Troopers.
Requirements:
- Full mechanics tool set.
- Experience in auto mechanic repair, car audio installation, or prior two-way radio installation.
- Valid NYS driver’s license.
- Position is contingent upon passing a background check and a drug test as you will be working directly with the NY State Police inside a NYSP headquarters facility.
---2. Entry-Level Public Safety Radio Technician (Full-Time)
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, service, and repair of radios in police and emergency vehicles.
- Learn hands-on from an experienced Foreman.
- Maintain work area organization and safety standards.
- Build technical and professional skills with direct coaching.
Requirements:
- Strong interest in electronics, automotive, or communications systems.
- Basic mechanical aptitude (experience in car audio or repair a plus).
- Basic mechanics tool set (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid NYS driver’s license.
- Position is contingent upon passing a background check and a drug test as you will be working directly with the NY State Police inside a NYSP headquarters facility.
