NCSCB Cable Splicer —

Live-Front to Dead-Front Transformer (DFW, 3–5 Days) 3–5 day hire. Not a long-term job. JPEC Services needs an NCSCB-certified cable splicer for one small airfield job in the Dallas–Fort Worth area during October–November 2026. Exact dates are not set yet. We need someone who can hold availability in that window and mobilize once the date is confirmed. Scope is replacing an existing live-front transformer with a new dead-front transformer and terminating the primary. You will assist with the swap and make the primary terminations. Tools are provided. Bring your NCSCB card and be ready to work. Pay is $100–$500 per hour depending on W-2 vs. 1099 and shift. Rate is agreed in writing before you start. W-2 or contract. If you are not local, we will fly you in and cover lodging.

The job

• One live-front to dead-front transformer replacement on a DFW-area airfield
• Terminate the primary on the new dead-front unit (separable connectors / elbows)
• Assist with the changeout and terminations 3–5 days of work
• Window: October–November 2026 — exact dates TBD
• No tools required — we furnish them
• Nights possible depending on airfield access
• Background check and drug screen required for airfield / federal site access

Required

• Active NCSCB certification — attach a photo of your card
• Experience terminating medium-voltage primary cable on dead-front equipment (load-break or dead break elbows / kits)
• Comfortable converting or working live-front to dead-front padmount / vault gear
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to commit to a 3–5 day hitch in DFW sometime in October–November. Exact dates TBD. Mobilize once the date is confirmed
• Willing to fly in if you are not local

Preferred

• 200 A load-break and/or 600 A dead-break elbow experience
• Prior airfield or federal site work
• Journeyman license, OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E
