JP Services is looking for a Mechanic to join the team. As a Mechanic, you will perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of construction equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment and troubleshooting.

- Work out of the shop on equipment repairs and maintenance
- Conduct equipment functionality, use, and safety tests
- Travel to customer job sites to perform mechanic duties as needed
- Daily utilization of computer applications and programs for service documentation
- Accurately order needed parts from vendors
- Highly developed mechanical background with various construction equipment, including aerial and dirt equipment
- Advanced understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams
- Extensive experience working on hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines
- Experience with air cooled, or smaller engines
- Experience with centrifugal and positive displacement pumps
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Have the drive to do whatever is needed to get the job done
- Exhibit strong teamwork and being a part of a greater goal
- Ability to give and take feedback or critique
- Experience as a technician, repairing and maintaining heavy duty machinery, preferably construction equipment
- Own tools required to perform job
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Work environment is consistent with that of construction equipment yard and repair shop, and occasional travel to job sites
- Safety training and PPE is required
- Occasional lifting up to 100 lbs
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stooping
