Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting efforts across the real estate portfolio
- Develop, maintain, and enhance short-and long-term financial models to support strategic planning and investment decisions
- Analyze financial and operational performance, including key real estate metrics such as NOI,ROI, cash flow, and operating margins
- Partner with property management and operations teams to evaluate performance, identify risks,and uncover opportunities for margin improvement
- Prepare and present clear, actionable financial insights, trends, and recommendations to the President and ownership
- Support capital planning and CapEx initiatives, including underwriting, scenario analysis, and return evaluations
- Manage and develop the accounting team, providing mentorship, performance guidance, and accountability
- Oversee and continuously improve the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, consistency,and timeliness
- Design, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to create a morestructured, disciplined, and predictable close period
- Establish and communicate clear close calendars, roles, deadlines, and approval workflows
- Review and analyze property-level and corporate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal accounting policies, and company standards
- Strengthen internal controls, data integrity, and documentation across financial systems and processes
- Partner with accounting staff to identify and implement process improvements, automation, and efficiency
- Serve as a key liaison between finance, accounting, property operations, and senior leadership
- Provide financial guidance to property managers on budgeting, cost control, and performance optimization
- Support the continued development and optimization of financial systems, reporting tools, and ERP platforms
- Assist in building scalable, repeatable finance processes to support company growth and operational complexity
- Contribute to ad hoc financial analyses, special projects, and strategic initiatives as needed
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 10–12 years of experience in accounting and/or FP&A
- Proven experience managing accounting teams and overseeing the monthly close process
- Demonstrated ownership of the P&L process, partnering directly with executives and senior management
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and CapEx analysis
- Real estate or property management industry experience preferred
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems

Salary : $150,000 - $165,000
