Role Description The Site Foreman is a full-time position responsible for overseeing daily field operations on commercial sitework projects in the Twin Cities Metro. This role coordinates crews, schedules, and subcontractors; leads pre-task planning; and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications. The Site Foreman manages earthwork, utility installation, storm sewer systems, soil corrections, and final grading activities, working closely with equipment operators to optimize use of Caterpillar machinery and 3D grade control. The position requires monitoring site quality, enforcing SWPPP and safety requirements, troubleshooting field issues, and communicating progress and needs to project management. The Site Foreman also assists with basic layout, material management, and maintenance of a clean and organized jobsite.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills, including crew leadership, task delegation, and on-site coordination.
- Candidates should possess experience with earthmoving machinery and grade control systems.
- Candidates should possess clear communication skills for interacting with team members, subcontractors, inspectors, and project managers.
- Experience with underground utilities, storm sewer systems, and soil correction work.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and grade stakes; familiarity with 3D GPS or Trimble systems is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Previous experience as a foreman, lead operator, or field supervisor in civil or site construction is strongly preferred.
