Spring Full-Time Tax Internship (In-Office Position)

January 25 - April 15, 2026 (12 weeks)

• Team Up with Pros: Get hands-on experience as you work directly with our Partners and senior associates. You’ll help prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses—how cool is that?
• Work on Key Financial Tasks: Collaborate with our staff on important projects like financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and depreciation schedules. You’ll gain a ton of practical experience!
• Earn While You Learn: Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to earn over $10,000 while receiving college credit. It’s a win-win!
  
  

Eligibility

Internships are ideal for college juniors and seniors majoring in accounting with a minimum GPA of 2.8. All candidates should have completed at least one 300-level accounting course.

Mentor Program

Before the beginning of an internship with Whitinger & Company, you will be assigned a mentor. This staff member will serve as a one-on-one resource to answer any questions and provide orientation to the company and industry, enabling you to perform confidently. In many cases, our mentors also help interns transition effectively into full-time employment.

After the Internship

An internship with Whitinger & Company offers an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of public accounting and become more familiar with our firm. It also provides you with an excellent opportunity to make a positive impression and give us a better understanding of your career aspirations. In many cases, a successful internship is followed by a job offer as a full-time staff accountant upon graduation.
