Job Description
We are looking for a responsible Procurement assistant to obtain quotes from approved suppliers in a timely manner. You will be responsible for ensuring quotes meet contract requirements, production dates etc.… The Procurement assistant must have a keen eye for detail and basic math skills. Must have clerical skills to update records and follow up with suppliers. The goal is to ensure we order the correct size materials, specifications, quantities, with a lead time that conforms to the production schedule.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Managers on material specifications and expected delivery dates.
- Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control as necessary.
- Verify drawings against purchase order (quantity, specs, etc.)
- Contact suppliers via email and phone.
- Draft Purchase requisition forms for procurement.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
- Basic math and recording abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Great communication and interpersonal abilities
- Keen eye for detail
- Good physical condition
- High school diploma
- Ability to read blueprints is preferred
