Job Description
The Lead Service Technician will be the primary Technician responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance of residential and light commercial systems. The Lead Tech will coordinate with other Service Technicians as needed and collaborate with the new construction department when necessary.
This role is ideal for someone with several years of HVAC service experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to clear, honest customer communication. The ability to work independently on service calls and as part of a team when working with new construction crews is essential.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing service calls, diagnosing system issues, making accurate repairs, documenting work in HouseCall Pro, and helping clients understand their options. Compensation
Starting at $32/hour (DOE and certifications) with opportunities for growth and performance bonuses.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of HVAC service experience (residential/light commercial)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Experience with furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, ductless systems, and thermostats
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours service
- Technical training or additional certifications are preferred
- EPA certification required
- RMGA certification preferred
- Familiarity with HouseCall Pro is preferred
