Job Title: 1st Class Pipe Fitter / Welder / Shipfitter / Electrician
Position Summary:
We are seeking experienced and highly skilled 1st Class Tradespeople to join our team in the roles of Pipe Fitter, Welder, Shipfitter, and Electrician. These positions are critical to the successful construction, repair, and maintenance of marine vessels and industrial systems. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in their respective trades, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:1st Class Pipe Fitter
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and piping diagrams.
- Fabricate, install, and repair piping systems using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
1st Class Welder
- Read and interpret welding symbols and blueprints.
- Conduct weld inspections and ensure adherence to specifications.
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper safety protocols.
1st Class Shipfitter
- Layout, fabricate, and install structural components of ships.
- Read and interpret ship drawings and blueprints.
- Use cutting torches, grinders, and other tools to shape and fit metal components.
- Align and tack-weld parts in preparation for welding.
1st Class Electrician
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components on vessels.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues.
- Ensure compliance with marine electrical codes and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the respective trade.
- High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screening.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
