What you'll do
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across various settings, including acute care, long-term care, and outpatient services.
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical evaluations and patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate effective communication among healthcare providers.
- Monitor vital signs, manage intravenous (IV) infusions, and provide wound care, including suturing and catheterization.
- Educate patients and families on health management, medication administration, and post-discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and uphold NCQA standards.
Basic qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and nursing practices
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Epic or Cerner EMR systems
- Background in critical care or emergency medicine
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and documentation
- Knowledge of hospice & palliative medicine practices
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in memory care settings
