What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Joynt Physical Therapy?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic team player that is interested in growing with our company. This is a full-time position which will teach you skills at the front desk as a receptionist. Starting pay will be based on the applicants experience and will be re-evaluated for a potential increase after 90 days on the job.
Receptionist Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients as they arrive
- Answer phone calls and accurately obtain necessary information
- Schedule appointments for patients and update their personal information in the system
- Collect co-pays or payments from patients
- Maintain patient records and ensure they are accurate and up-to-date
- Assist Office Manager with obtaining prior authorization from insurance companies
- Assist Office Manager with obtaining insurance verification for new patients
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Experience:
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Customer Service experience preferred (service industry or administrative role)
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 – 40.0 per week
