Role Description
This is an on-site opportunity for a Board-Certified Music Therapist based in Orlando, FL. In this role, the Music Therapist will be responsible for providing individualized and group therapy sessions, developing and implementing treatment plans, and documenting progress. The role involves working with diverse populations, such as individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs, to address their specific therapeutic goals through music-based interventions.
Qualifications
- Possess expertise in Music Therapy, including certification as a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)
- Strong foundational skills in Music, including performing, songwriting, and using various instruments
- Experience in developing and implementing Treatment plans tailored to client needs
- Understanding of working with individuals with Mental Health conditions and Developmental Disabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT)
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally for sessions if needed
